Hailed as the ‘Father of the Nation’, Gandhiji and his principle of non-voilence has influenced a host of leaders and movement not just in India but across the world. He continues to inspire generations across the globe with his internationally esteemed doctrine of nonviolent protest.
With the onset of Navratri, Sapphire International School organized 'Garba Night' on the 2nd of October, which also marked the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The celebration began at 5 in the evening, where the crowd witnessed students, parents, guests and teachers all decked up in their garba attire. The navratri music also intensified the energy of the crowd as all went crazy over the different dance steps. The students of grade 12 and the teachers gave the last dance performance which turned out to be the show stopper of the night.
“Your greatness is not in what you have, it’s in what you give.” By Alice Hocker.
With this motto, the students of the Primary School and the Middle School visited the differently abled people who were the inmates of the Missionaries of Charity, Harmu, Ranchi on 19th October 2019. There were around 30 inmates who were either physically or mentally challenged or rejected by their families.
The students distributed a token of love in the form of woolen clothes, toiletries and food items which they had contributed and collected as a part of the ‘Joy of Giving’. This was an opportunity for our students to show their love and concern towards these people who taught them to be more empathetic towards life.
With best wishes,
