August 2018

From The Principal...

Dear Parents,

Warm Greetings from SIS!

"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored."

 Earl Nightingale

'August' the most alluring month of monsoon stirred the patriotic fervor , the knot of protection , a gift of greatest price; the love of grandparents and the amusement of Dahi-Handi on the occasion of Krishna Janamasthmi.

Our news letter is a medium to illustrate the extent and intensity with which our minor marvels engage and participate to make each event at SIS a great accomplishment.

With best wishes,

“GRANDPARENTS ARE A DELIGHTFUL BLEND OF LAUGHTER,CARING DEEDS, WONDERFUL STORIES AND LOVE”.

A warm smile, a tender heart, kind words and a world of love; these are some of the many things that make our dear grandparents.

15th of August is probably the most important day in the life of every Indian, since India attained its independence on this day. It is the day for which our forefathers had sacrificed their lives.

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day,the tiny tots of Happy Feet Sapphire International School, celebrated Grandparents' Day on (15-08-18), to show their love, affection and respect for them. The toddlers of Happy Feet expressed their love for their Grandmas and Grandpas through dance, music and much more.

As a mark of tribute to our freedom fighters, a tableau  was performed by the little ones showcasing some of the great leaders and their contribution in the Independence movement.

This was followed by a melodious song “Chhodo Kal ke Baatey “ and “Grand Pa”.

To keep to the spirit of the day a dance performance was put up by the children to the tune of a popular patriotic song “Kehtey hai Humko Pyar sai India waley”.

The highlight of the show was that the children had anchored the programme on their own.

Theme- Trust                                                                      Date: 29th August, 2018

The foundation of love is trust. A child can perform miraculously well in all aspects of life if there is trust, love, comfort and belief. Trust is an environment where an individual can be their best selves.

With this thought in mind the students of class 5A performed a skit reflecting the behaviour of a child under abundance pressure during exams. The students tried to convey the message that how criticism and lack of trust can bring down the level of confidence in a child.
