From The Principal...

Dear Parents,

Warm Greetings from SIS!

Two strands of sheer exuberance bound the year 2017 in a most attractive ‘gift wrap’ before it was presented to parents, teachers, and guests in a resounding flourish of Sapphire beauty. The first was, of course, the potpourri of our Christmas celebration, what with cakes, balloons, carols, and Santa with his famous bag of gifts innumerable! God seemed to go on sprinkling merriment and laughter over “This happy breed of men/This little world” (Shakespeare), and festivities seemed endless.

The Annual Day Programme was the other delicate tress hanging over the shining forehead of Sapphire this month. All who viewed the variety of presentations on that magical evening will vouch for the originality and the precision of the aesthetic offering. It was in the fitness of things that the function was presided over by the famed scion of a renowned Father, Aman Ali Bangash, son of sarod maestro, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan whose words of wisdom on learners’ humility, and a riveting sarod recital kept us spellbound.

This unforgettable evening brought the curtains down on a much eventful year. We take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy and Prosperous 2018!

With best wishes,

Circle Time - Christmas Celebration

Christmas Carol

This circle time was used to put the students in the holiday mood by playing Christmas carols. They happily intoned the lyrics and had a hearty and joyous time. Teachers also showed them short videos related to them and Christmas was truly in the air.

Preparation for Christmas

This circle time was used to make Christmas caps and cards for the upcoming Christmas celebration. Carols were played in the background, as children joyously swayed their heads and sang the familiar melodies.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas is a time to give and forgive. It is celebrated everywhere as a joyous family festival.  We too, at School celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children. The children came beautifully dressed in party gear for the Christmas festivities that followed, The primary class students decorated the Christmas tree with bright and colourful bells, balloons and stars,  ”Dashing through the snow……”and other carols filled the air with jubilation. Santa too made a grand entry in the packed school auditorium. The delight was uncontained especially as he brought out the gifts and spread the message of hope, peace, joy and love.

Symphony 2017 - (Annual Day)

SYMPHONY 2017
"East meets West"

SYMPHONY 2017, the Annual Cultural Programme of Sapphire International School, Ranchi, saw life and energy being propelled into a rainbow of cultural feats. The entire programme revolved around the theme “East Meets West”.

Gracing the occasion was Sarod Maestro Amaan Ali Bangash, the eldest son and disciple of the Sarod Maestro, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Amaan Ali Bangash not only inspired the gathering with his words but also uplifted their souls with a divine sarod recital. Accompanying him on the tabla was Shri Mithilesh Kumar Jha, disciple of his father Gopikant Jha who received his training from Bulbul Maharaj.

This year the programmes were woven around the theme, “East Meets West”, where each class presented events incorporating Eastern and Western culture. An English play by the Senior School, African Dance and Ball Dance by our tiny tots were showcased with éclat, whereas the middle school students performed a Michael Jackson Dance, and Hindi & Maithili skits, to portray the cultures of the East and the West.
