Sapphire International School is honoured and proud to host "Rendezvous" - the Inter-School Meet, for the fifth time, which provides the children of all the schools, a platform to showcase their talents in the field of co-curricular activities, sports & games. The inter-school events are planned to continue through the 13th of August, and culminate on the 15th of August with the prize distribution & Grandparents' Day Celebration. On this fifth year of “Rendezvous", we have more than 200 students participating from four different schools across Ranchi.
The first day began with a grand opening ceremony. It commenced with a welcome speech and a mesmerizing dance performance. To grace this occasion we had amongst us, the Deputy Commissioner of Khunti, Dr. Manish Ranjan, (I.A.S.). Dr. Ranjan happens to be a student of the famed Netarhat School, and of Hindu College, Delhi, and also of the Universities of Oxford, England, and John Hopkins, USA. Dr. Ranjan holds a Ph.D. degree in Management, and has worked in the various sectors of Education, Health, Labour, Industries and Mines, in different capacities.
Dr. Ranjan is widely travelled, and happens to be a prolific author. He has authored ten books, six of which are related to the field of Psychology, Decision Making, Interpersonal Relations and Effective Communication.
In his speech, Dr. Ranjan, ignited the students’ imagination, citing real life stories, and motivated them to fight against their problems and always have a 'Never Give Up' attitude.
